I’m Erin, a Registered Psychotherapist, Canadian Certified Counselling and the founder and Clinical Director of Canadian Counselling Services.

My approach to therapy is grounded in compassion, practicality, and a deep respect for the resilience people carry — even when life feels overwhelming. I work with individuals who are off work due to emotional or psychological challenges that affect their ability to manage daily tasks, as well as those who are still working but seeking support to stay well and engaged. Whether you’re navigating trauma, a new diagnosis, changes in family status, or other life-altering events, I offer a space where you can process, heal, and move forward.

Using a blend of evidence-based therapies like CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), mind-body integration, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), I help clients process trauma, navigate change, and reconnect with their resilience.

I believe therapy should be both validating and actionable — a place where you feel heard, but also equipped with tools to navigate life’s complexities.

Understanding how we learn to adapt is relevant to change. Perhaps you have learned to survive or manage people, places and things but those responses may not always serve you as well as you would like. Think about what is not working in your life and how you would like things to change. What would be different? What are your reasons for change? When we discuss your main issue or complaint, we may examine resources or action plans not yet considered. One thing that can help is breaking down larger goals into smaller, more achievable steps. Would you like to begin working together and explore what is possible?

Goal setting is something we’ll discuss early in therapy. It can be daunting to hear someone talk about getting motivated toward change when staying stuck can be so comfortable and familiar. I offer a supportive environment to meet you where you are. We’ll talk about what strategies have worked and aim to build toward your next logical step.
